With baseball and sports in general on hold amid the coronavirus pandemic, we bring you Episode 2 of the “Pinstripe Pod” with Chris Shearn and former Yankees pitcher Jeff Nelson.

Shearn and Nellie open the show talking about the coronavirus and the impact it has had on their lives, baseball, sports and the world. They talk about when the baseball season could realistically begin. Will it be a 100-game season? Will it start in June? How will this affect the players? There’s a lot of unknowns.

I then play a clip from my chat with Doc Gooden on Nellie, which leads to a great story about the 1996 Yankees. It involves poop in a cup and the Yankees bullpen.

NY Post sports columnist Mike Vaccaro then makes his debut on the show. Vaccaro talks about how to write about sports without sports, when baseball might return, how the season eventually could shape up and looks back to 9/11. How tough is it not having any sports right now? Could baseball change its new rules now with a shortened season?
