Storms Cause Tornadoes and Softball-Size Hail in the South
Powerful storms moved through the South late Friday into Saturday, killing two people in Louisiana, bringing hail the size of softballs and baseballs to parts of Alabama, and leaving damage in the Florida Panhandle.
“Honey, look at that! There’s going to be a tornado.” “How dangerous is it?” “A tornado in Panama City Beach. Wow, look at that.” “This is what we’ve been hit with, folks. Some of this is baseball-size hail, way bigger than golf balls, I’ll tell you that, just tremendous amount of hail.”
