Two worlds collided on Friday night in Boston when Tacko fall met WWE star John Cena.
The 7-foot-5 Celtics big man — who has been playing primarily with the Maine Red Claws, Boston’s G League team this season — met Cena backstage during “WWE SmackDown” and said he was a big fan of the 16-time champion. Cena, whose famous catchphrase is “You can’t see me,” couldn’t see Fall without looking up.
“My grandma gonna be so pump when she sees this lol,” the 24-year-old Fall tweeted after the encounter.
The 42-year-old Cena, who no longer wrestles full time, on Friday night got dragged into a match with “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt for Wrestlemania 36 which takes place on April 5.
It won’t be for the “SmackDown” title because “The Fiend” lost it to 53-year-old Goldberg in Thursday’s “Super Showdown” in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It was a premature end to the title run for one of the hottest characters in wrestling, The Post’s Joseph Staszewski wrote.
As for Fall, he has recorded 15 double-doubles in his 26-games with the Red Claws thus far this season. He also is averaging 12.8 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game.
Fall did not play in the team’s last game on Thursday because he’s dealing with a toe injury, according USA Today Sports. He warmed up before the game but was unable to play after having an ingrown toenail removed on Wednesday, the Lewiston Sun Journal reported.
