Tom Brady took a sweet trip down memory lane Wednesday, posting an anniversary tribute to his wife of 11 years, Gisele Bündchen.
“The first slide is where we met and the second slide is what we’ve become,” the Patriots quarterback, 42, penned on Instagram. “You have always been the one to hold us up and you love us the way no one else can. And we love you so much in return. Happy Anniversary Love of my Life.”
In the first photo, Bündchen, 39, is seen standing outside Turks & Frogs Wine Bar in the West Village. In the second snap, she is seen embracing her two children with Brady, daughter Vivian, 7, and son Benjamin, 10.
Bündchen also honored Brady in a separate post, writing, “I can’t believe it’s been 11 years since we devoured this delicious cake after we came home from our wedding. Happy anniversary love of my lifey!!! Thank you for making life so sweet!”
Brady and Bündchen were first linked in 2007, not long after the six-time Super Bowl champ learned he was expecting his first child with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan. The Brazilian-born supermodel, who married Brady in 2009, later detailed the life-changing moment in her memoir, “Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life.”
“Two months into our relationship, Tom told me that his ex-girlfriend was pregnant. The very next day the news was everywhere, and I felt my world had been turned upside down,” she wrote.
In an October 2018 interview with People, Bündchen said that while it “wasn’t the ideal situation for anyone,” she’s “so grateful for [Bridget].”
“I know this was hard, but I couldn’t imagine my life without [Jack]. I call him my bonus child,” she said of John Edward, now 12.
While Brady and Bündchen have plenty to celebrate as their prolific love story continues, one critical chapter of the quarterback’s life — his professional future, specifically — remains unwritten.
