Tom Brady kicked out of Tampa park for coronavirus violation

Tom Brady apparently needs to work on his coronavirus compliance.

The newly minted Buccaneers quarterback was booted for working in a Tampa park that was closed because of the coronavirus pandemic, Tampa Mayor Jane Casto said. She talked about the incident while on a Facebook Live session with St. Petersburg mayor Rick Kriseman on Monday.

“You know our parks are closed down and so a lot of our parks staff, they patrol around just to make sure people aren’t doing contact sports and things and saw an individual working out in one of our downtown parks,” said Casto, who didn’t indicate exactly when it happened. “And she went over to tell him that it was closed and it was Tom Brady.”

Brady, who signed a two-year, fully guaranteed $50 million deal with the Buccaneers in March, was not cited or given a fine, according to TMZ. He was just told to leave. However, the city is using the incident to reinforce that people need to stay away from the parks.
